The bookcase is fitted with a sturdy powder-coated steel frame, which gives it an industrial look. The retro shelves are made of solid recycled wood, which was obtained from sleepers, floors and support beams from demolished old buildings, and can include different types of wood, such as pine, teak, beech, oak, cedar, mango wood, acacia, etc. This means that the recycled wood retains the characteristics of these different types of wood. The recycled wood is already weathered, aged and dried, so it will not shrink or warp. Every step of the manufacturing process is carried out with the utmost care, be it polishing, painting or varnishing. Thanks to the craftsmanship and beautiful wood grain, each piece of furniture is distinct and slightly different from the next.
